On September 13th, the four-day 28th China International Pet Show (hereinafter referred to as CIPS) successfully concluded at Area B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

CIPS featured six professional forums, 16 authoritative competitions, and gathered over 1,400 leading enterprises in the pet and aquarium industry, attracting professional visitors from more than 130 countries and regions. It served as a base to create an international trading platform.

Renowned domestic and international brands as well as high-end manufacturers gathered to unveil their innovative products for the year, attracting tens of thousands of international buyers for trade negotiations, seeking new products and selling points, and staying informed about industry news and trends.

The target procurement groups covered have expanded from the initial European and American regions to the Belt and Road and emerging markets. These include countries and regions such as Germany, France, the UK, and other European nations; Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and other Asian countries; the United States, Canada, Brazil, and other American nations; Rwanda, Ghana, Mauritius, and other African countries; as well as Australia, New Zealand, and other Oceanian countries.

The China International Pet Show (CIPS), in collaboration with the internationally authoritative media PETS International, jointly established the world's first innovation award within the global pet and aquarium industry in 2017 – the "CIPS Innovation Award." This year, 21 products selected by a joint panel of domestic and international judges won awards in four categories, and two additional products were awarded the Popular New Product Award, voted on by domestic and international professional visitor. The aim is to set new standards in the industry, encourage more companies to follow the path of innovation and development, form new competitive advantages, and fully showcase the new landscape of the pet industry.

As a significant and innovative part of the exhibition, the second "Green Paw Prints, Love for Earth" sustainable development-themed event has made its mark. From the emergence of the first "Green Pioneer" to the joining of more "Green Pioneers," it has established a model for industry actions, ignited a trend of sustainability, and injected robust momentum into the sustainable development of the pet industry. This year's event has specifically invited young artist Xi Min to showcase her creative works, including the ancient mythical beast "Chaofeng," in the sustainable area alongside "Green Pioneer" products. All of these contributions uniquely express their love for the Earth.

The 3rd Global Pet Industry E-commerce Conference invited experts from platforms such as Amazon, TikTok, Lazada, Shopee, Useepay, Shipper, Tmall and Taobao, Xiaohongshu (Red), Douyin, JD.com, Alipay, and WeChat Shipinhao to provide comprehensive, multi-angled, and multi-layered insights into market trends, industry status, and platform strategies.

CIPS & YUGUO Cross-border E-commerce Pet Supplies Sharing Seminar brought together cross-border platform officials, industry leaders, and powerful factories. Through authoritative industry insights, cutting-edge product displays, and efficient resource matching, it helped cross-border sellers precisely grasp market dynamics and open a new chapter for pet product exports.

The 6th "PANGOL" Cup CIPS Global Grooming Conference gathered internationally renowned grooming masters to showcase exquisite techniques and skills, announce the latest trends and international fashions in pet grooming and care, and facilitate exchanges with international pet grooming standards. The event is dedicated to showcasing the artistry and skills of professional pet grooming and is an unparalleled grand gathering of elite pet groomers worldwide.

CIPS World Famous Cat Tour follows the international scientific and professional purebred cat breeding management system and breeding philosophy, adheres to international purebred cat standards, promotes and advocates for the optimal breeding of purebred cats, reduces unordered breeding, and ensures the genetic health and stable personality of China's purebred cat population. Combined with the current status of purebred cat development in China, it creates a diversified and multi-faceted event and international cultural exchange activity that integrates breeding, behavior, and care services.

At CIPS site, not only was PFH (Paw For Heal) Therapy Dogs South China Regional Evaluation held, but pet behavior experts also deeply analyzed the multiple identities of pets in modern society, discussed how to better leverage the social value of our furry friends, and shared the latest progress and successful cases of therapy dog public welfare projects. Additionally, a series of exciting activities were prepared, allowing visitors and dogs to enjoy joyful moments while also deeply understanding the charm and importance of therapy dogs.

The Hong Kong Reptile Industry Sharing Session conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on hot topics such as reptile promotion and consumer education. The entire forum provided valuable market insights and strategic guidance for practitioners and pointed out the direction for the industry's future development.

Aquatic Industry Convention invited the President of the  Ornamental Fish International to provide observations and interpretations of the current status, trends, and issues in the international aquarium industry. At the same time, a "Business Agreement on the Development and Exchange Cooperation of the Ornamental Fish Industry between Korea and China" was signed with the Korea Ornamental Fish Association to consolidate the cooperative relationship between Korea and China in the ornamental fish industry. Douyin E-commerce shared the trends and strategies for the aquarium industry, providing practical operation guides for merchants.

As China's leading pet and aquarium Expo, CIPS is recognized as a world-class aquarium feast with a comprehensive range of species, large scale, high quality, strict competition rules, high popularity, and generous prizes. It has created a globally renowned aquarium industry event.

In terms of aquarium competition activities, CIPS Global Ornamental Fish Championship, which is professionally recognized for its comprehensive species, large scale, high quality, and high popularity, has pushed the CIPS to new heights with its enormous scale and wide influence. Various species such as Arowanas, Tiger Fish, Stingrays, Goldfish, Guppies, Bettas, Plecostomus, Ornamental Shrimp, and Medaka competed, not only showcasing the exquisite skills and outstanding achievements in aquarium breeding but also reflecting the high standards and specifications of the competition organization. While providing a platform for enthusiasts to showcase themselves, it has also stimulated industry competition vitality, promoted technical exchanges and progress, and further enhanced the international influence and reputation of the aquarium section of CIPS.

CIPS Global Ornamental Fish&Shrimp Championship featured international competitions for Bettas, Guppies, Ornamental Shrimp, and Plecostomus.

The emergence of aquarium landscaping has enhanced consumers' pursuit of nature, home furnishings, and aesthetics. The hosting of multiple landscaping competitions such as the CIPS International Aquascaping Contest, CIPS International Marine Aquascaping Contest, and The 3rd Green Garden Paludarium Layout Art Contest has pushed the aesthetic value of the show to the extreme. Domestic and international landscaping masters gathered at CIPS, using their superb skills and infinite creativity to jointly create dreamlike aquatic worlds, showcasing the artistic talents and aesthetic tastes of aquarium enthusiasts. It also provided enthusiasts with a valuable opportunity to have face-to-face exchanges with masters and jointly experience the beauty of nature.
