The 29th China International Pet Show (CIPS 2025) will be held in Area B of China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou from November 13 to 16, 2025.

CIPS BIOTOPE AQUARIUM CONTEST was co-founded by China Great Wall International Exhibition and Juliu ifish in 2018. It was the first original aquascape event launched in China, bringing together a professional jury consisting of ichthyologists, ecologists, field explorers, professional aquascapers and media professionals from home and abroad to create a high-standard international original aquascape event. It has attracted widespread attention in the industry.

Top 10 Winners of the Professional Group

The competition in the Professional Group was particularly fierce. Eventually, Yu Chuanwei claimed the championship with his work Riverbanks of Guangdong Province, China During the Dry Season! Zhao Sugang and Li Junhan, both from China, secured the second and third places respectively.

Scoring Dimensions for the Professional Group

The Professional Group focuses on the comprehensive capabilities of the work, including ecological authenticity, technical execution, and artistic expression. Evaluation is mainly conducted from the following two aspects:

Technical Scoring (Accounting for Approximately 60%)

It includes technical assessments such as the construction of the aquatic ecosystem, the rationality of species matching, the difficulty of water quality maintenance, and the professionalism of equipment application.

Artistic Scoring (Accounting for Approximately 40%)

It focuses on the artistic appeal of the aquascape, including composition aesthetics, atmosphere creation, natural feeling transmission, and the overall visual effect.

The Player Group demonstrated extremely high participation and creative enthusiasm. Congratulations to Teng Luo for winning the first place with his work Mountain Stream Waterfall! Yang Bin and Alejandro Rios Martin claimed the second and third places respectively.

Scoring Dimensions for the Player Group

The Player Group places greater emphasis on participation, creative expression, and emotional communication. Instead of separating technical and artistic scoring, the evaluation is mainly based on the overall average score. Judges conduct a comprehensive assessment from the following perspectives:

Creativity and theme expression

Aquascape completion and visual coordination

Alignment with the original natural habitat

Emotional resonance and personalized expression

Merchant Exchange Group

The number of entries in the Merchant Exchange Group was relatively small. After discussions by the organizing committee, it was decided that no rankings or awards would be given for this group. However, we still want to thank all merchants who participated in this group for their support of the competition, and we look forward to seeing more wonderful works in future events.

On - Site Activities

During the 2025 CIPS held from November 13 to 16, a number of wonderful activities related to aquascaping will be held. Among them, the award ceremony of the aquascaping competition is scheduled to take place at the 2025 CIPS (Hall 11.3 - G071) from 13:30 to 17:00 on November 14 (Friday), and everyone is welcome to attend.

2025 CIPS BIOTOPE AQUARIUM CONTEST (CBAC), senior aquascapers will operate a 2 meter large aquarium on site to restore the natural habitat. The aquascaping theme is extremely stunning! We will announce the detailed on - site arrangements in the coming days.
