As the largest pet fair in the world, Interzoo was held on May 26th in Nuremburg, Germany. The show is to hold every two years, with 40 years of history, appears to be in the leading position of pet and aquarium industry.

The 34th Interzoo contains 13,000 sqm show space, attracts more than 1800 exhibitors from 53 countries and more than 40,000 visitors from all over the world. There are 340 Chinese exhibitors participated the show this year, which took surprisingly 20%.

During the opening ceremony, the president of Interzoo, Mr. Norbert Holthenrich has brought a new concept for pet and aquarium industry. He pointed out that it is important to feed the pet in a healthy way and train the pet with reward, with the assistance of hi-tech accessories. Consultant of Interzoo (former president) Mr. Hans has stated that there are more and more medium scale companies participate the show, while ultra large-scale companies are seen less in the show. This means that medium scale companies with innovation are easier to win the game in the future. Comparing with the situation in China, the same tendency is going on as well. Medium companies are emerging. Those who have more involvement with Internet and market, will have a closer connection with the consumers.

CIPS and Interzoo

GIE as the partner of Interzoo, have organized domestic companies attending the show 9 times since 1998. In Interzoo 2016, there were Hall 10 added on top of Hall 8 as Chinese Hall. GIE has organized a pavilion with almost 300 companies, took over 4,300sqm show space, crowned as the largest International pavilion.

GIE tried to provide the best service to its clients. During the show, GIE has assured the accommodation and catering of almost 600 people, as well as arranged tour to pet shops to study the market. GIE also brought the best wishes to an exhibitor whom birthday was during the show time.


American pavilion is one of the highlight

Apart from eye-catching Chinese pavilion, the American pavilion which located in Hall 7 has drawn a lot of attention as well. USA has appeared to be the largest pet supplies consuming market in the world.

New opportunity and challenge

With more than 20 years of development, Chinese pet industry has remained its place in the world. The market is changing continuously, Chinese companies is confronting with opportunities and challenges.

CIPS had fruitful achievement during Interzoo 2016. CIPS has reached to consensus with the organizers from USA, Italy, Brazil, Indonesia, etc. With those support, there will be more International pavilion in IPS, which enhancing the International influence and professionalism of CIPS. Moreover, GIE, the organizer of CIPS has signed the contract as the exclusive agent for PETS International in Greater China. This is another success after the cooperation of Global Pets Forum Asia last year.

Chinese company has first launched their new products in Interzoo Product Showcase. This assured the independent R&D capability and the quality of made-in-China products. China is no longer only a manufacturer, implanting with brand identity, China is surely to take greater position in the industry.
