Dog illnesses have a variety of symptoms that dog parent should look out for. The fact that you have updated all your dog’s vaccines and appropriately care for your puppy does not mean they cannot get sick. 1. Lethargy.
A lethargic dog will look lazy, drowsy or indifferent. The dog may be slow to respond to sounds, sights, and other stimuli in her environment. A pooch with respiratory distress may have breathing difficulties that may occur when he or she breathes. Respiratory difficulties can mean the lack of oxygen to reach her tissues. In addition, dogs with heart failure may not be able to pump enough blood to their muscles and other tissues. Respiratory distress is often associated with the accumulation of fluid in the lungs or chest cavity, which causes shortness of breath and cough.
