The 29th China International Pet Show (CIPS 2025) has successfully concluded. Spanning four days, the exhibition further deepened its international influence, attracting professional visitors from 125 countries and regions for exchanges. The cumulative attendance during the exhibition reached 84,890, representing a 21% increase year-on-year, and generating more active procurement demands on-site. As the scale of international visitors continued to expand, the focus of on-site procurement and exchanges gradually shifted to areas that were different from previous years.
While mature markets such as Europe and the United States maintained a stable procurement pace, the consulting activity from emerging markets including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa saw a marked rise. Buyers from different regions demonstrated clearer focus on product types, price ranges, minimum order quantities and delivery capabilities, with their communication becoming more direct and specific. The concurrent emergence of demands from multiple regions drove procurement and exchanges to focus more on actionable cooperation details, rather than remaining at the initial inquiry stage.

Connecting global pet industry resources, CIPS 2025 showcases the concentrated innovation vitality and manufacturing prowess of China’s pet and aquarium products to the world. CIPS: Could you give a brief introduction to your company?
Lin Jiarong: SunSun Group Co., Ltd. is an integrated enterprise engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of aquatic and pet products. Having dedicated itself to the industry for years, it is committed to providing high-quality products and services to aquatic enthusiasts and professionals worldwide.
CIPS: Having been deeply rooted in the industry for years, what do you think are the biggest changes that have taken place?
Lin Jiarong: SunSun officially participated in the CIPS in 2000, and has since followed CIPS' footsteps to take part in major exhibitions both at China and abroad. Looking back on its development over these years, we can clearly see that the aquatic pet industry has become increasingly professional, and the entire pet industry has shown a vigorous development momentum. Whether it is technological R&D, product innovation or market layout, all aspects are moving towards a more refined and standardized direction.
CIPS: Could you please introduce the future development trends of SunSun Group?
Lin Jiarong: Over the years, SunSun has been undergoing steady transformation. Evolving from a single equipment manufacturer, we have gradually expanded into a full-industry-chain layout — a transition path that is highly aligned with the ambitious "Point-Line-Plane" strategy proposed by the Chairman in 2018. After years of steady advancement, the implementation of this strategy has taken initial shape. Its most representative achievement is our smart factory, which was accredited as a "Future Factory" in 2021. This facility has achieved the intelligent and digital upgrading of production and manufacturing, significantly boosting production efficiency and product quality. We warmly welcome industry peers and enthusiasts to visit and exchange ideas with us. CIPS: What breakthrough or representative new products has SunSun brought to this year’s exhibition?
Lin Jiarong: SunSun has always been committed to the innovative R&D of its products, launching an entire range of brand-new offerings every year. It is hard to single out any one product as the absolute "star", because every item has its unique advantages and applicable scenarios. CIPS: What are the advantages and disadvantages of SunSun Group in the e-commerce channel?
Lin Jiarong: Currently, SunSun does hold a leading position in the e-commerce channel. However, this exhibition has also exposed us to many emerging players in the industry, making us realize that there is still much room for continuous improvement. Going forward, on one hand, we will continue to consolidate our advantages in technological innovation and move towards greater specialization. On the other hand, we will place greater emphasis on brand value building in the youth market, bridge the gap with young consumer groups, and make the SunSun brand more dynamic and appealing.
CIPS: What wishes and prospects do you have for CIPS?

CIPS: Which edition of CIPS is Boyu participating in this time?
Zhang Xiaoxi: Boyu has been a participant in CIPS since its very first edition, and this year marks its 29th consecutive appearance at the exhibition — it has never missed a single session over the past 29 years. As a pivotal platform for the global pet industry, CIPS has witnessed Boyu’s growth and development. We will continue to participate in the exhibition for years to come and grow alongside it.
CIPS: Having been deeply rooted in the industry for many years, what do you think is the most significant change?
Zhang Xiaoxi: Over the years, via the CIPS platform, we have been able to clearly observe the remarkable changes taking place in the aquatic industry. Among these shifts, the trends toward younger demographics and greater innovation have left the deepest impression on me. In the past, aquatic keeping was largely the preserve of professional hobbyists. Today, however, a growing number of young people have joined the community. They have higher requirements for products in terms of functionality, design aesthetics and user experience — this has, in turn, compelled the industry to continuously innovate in technology, products and application scenarios, transforming aquatic consumption from a "specialized niche pastime" into a "mainstream daily activity".
CIPS: What core innovative products has Boyu brought to this year’s exhibition?
Zhang Xiaoxi: We are showcasing a range of blockbuster new products at this exhibition, among which the highly competitive core product is the large variable-frequency water pump with a flow rate of over 50,000 L/h, boasting outstanding performance advantages. Meanwhile, in response to the demands of the aquatic, pet and gardening sectors, we are launching a number of featured new products simultaneously. Particularly noteworthy is the independently developed patented wall-mounted filter canister. This product has achieved a comprehensive upgrade in user experience. Unlike traditional filter canisters that require priming before being powered on to start water circulation, this patented model can directly initiate water flow with its pull-out design, and can be put into operation immediately after power-on, which greatly simplifies the operation process and enhances user-friendliness. In addition, the product is specially equipped with a one-click sewage discharge function. Users only need to open the dedicated sewage outlet, connect the water pipe, and adjust the outlet switch at the rear to complete the sewage discharge process, further optimizing the user experience. Currently, this wall-mounted filter canister is available in three sizes—large, medium and small—capable of accurately meeting the needs of users in different scenarios and satisfying diverse usage requirements.


CIPS: Are these new products designed to appeal to young enthusiasts?
Zhang Xiaoxi: Our product R&D covers the needs of consumers across all age groups, but we have indeed made targeted arrangements for the younger market segment. Today’s young consumers pursue a consumption model of "low-effort operation, high-quality experience". While maintaining professional performance, our new products also emphasize operational convenience and design aesthetics. For instance, simplifying operational procedures and upgrading product appearance are specifically intended to attract and retain young aquatic enthusiasts, ensuring the enduring inheritance of aquatic culture.
These innovative products are more aligned with the preferences of young consumer groups in terms of functional design and user experience. We hope that through product innovation, more people can experience the charm of aquatic hobbies, thereby narrowing the gap with the new generation of aquatic enthusiasts.
