As one of the most influential and largest professional aquatic exhibitions worldwide, the 29th China International Pet Show (CIPS2025), hosted by China Great Wall International Exhibition Co., Ltd., was grandly held at Area B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from November 13 to 16!

Since the introduction of ornamental fish-related competitions in 2016, the influence of CIPS has been on a steady rise. It has now evolved into a benchmark communication platform in the aquatic sector that brings together global industry leaders, brand decision-makers and innovative forces.

With the original aspiration of promoting industry development, this exhibition has carried out in-depth cooperation with the Guangdong Koi Association, the only provincial-level koi organization with independent legal person status in China, to jointly create a professional exhibition event for high-quality Chinese koi. The aim is to arouse aquatic enthusiasts' enthusiasm for high-end koi and build an exclusive platform for face-to-face communication with breeding experts. 

Revealing Core Partners

The Guangdong Koi Association is the earliest established provincial-level koi association in China and also the only one of its kind with independent legal person status in the country. The association currently has more than 100 corporate members and holds five competitions annually: the China Koi Competition, China Young Koi Competition, China Juvenile Koi Competition, China Domestic Koi Competition and China Adult Koi Competition, fully demonstrating the industry's benchmark breeding standards from fry to adult fish.

Under the leadership of President Pan Zhicheng, the association adheres to the original aspiration of "serving the industry, society, government and members" and continuously improves the quality and influence of Chinese koi. Its participation as an important part of the aquatic section of CIPS 2025 aims to let more people witness the true strength of domestic koi breeding.

Three Well-known Fish Farms in Action

• Jiali Fish Farm: The Champion Legend of the "King of Miscellaneous Koi"Founded in 1995, Zhongshan Jiali is a veteran powerhouse in China's koi industry. Founder Lai Shaojian has been deeply engaged in the improvement of domestically-bred koi in China. Since 2008, it has focused on the cultivation of "miscellaneous koi" such as peacock and silver-scale varieties, and has earned the reputation of the "King of Miscellaneous Koi" for its excellent quality.

• Tuanhe Fish Farm: The "Pioneer" Driving Industry DevelopmentFounded by Zhou Tuanzhang, Foshan Tuanhe Fish Farm covers a breeding area of 300,000 square meters and focuses on intelligent development. As an industry benchmark, it spearheaded the first two-way "ice-breaking journey" of import and export for mainland koi in international competitions, helping Chinese koi to step onto the world stage.

• Zhiming Koi: The Quality Benchmark for Taisho SanshokuZhiming Koi, located in Sanshui, Foshan, takes Taisho Sanshoku, one of the "Three Great Families" of koi, as its core competitiveness. Relying on high-quality water sources, it has cultivated premium koi with clear patterns. Its koi once won the "Overall Third Place" in the Juvenile Koi Competition among more than 3,000 participating fish.

In addition, CIPS has specially collaborated with Shanshu Natural Ecological Technology to create a koi pond experience area at the exhibition site that combines ornamental value and practicality! The experience area integrates ecological filtration and intelligent control technology into landscape design, allowing audiences to intuitively experience the charm of scientific water management while appreciating the beauty of koi.

The experience area integrates cutting-edge technologies such as Shanshu's intelligent control system and intelligent water quality monitoring system, which capture real-time dynamics of water quality indicators 24 hours a day, realize abnormal early warning and automated precise treatment, and intuitively present a modern koi breeding solution of "ecology + intelligence". It provides actionable scientific koi breeding references for aquatic enthusiasts and practitioners, helping to upgrade the industry's breeding technology.

The koi pond experience area built by Shanshu at the event site integrates ecological filtration and intelligent control technology into landscape design, enabling audiences to intuitively feel the charm of scientific water maintenance while admiring the beauty of koi.
