According to the statistics of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the number of pets has reached 120 million in 2018. The huge pet scale has greatly expanded pet food market, as the output value of pet food production has exceeded RMB 40 billion in the same year. China has launched the Pet Feed Management Measures and other regulations in 2018, which provides some guidelines for the development of pet food industry.
